Crossroads Kids Club uses a children’s program from Voice of the Martyrs and the Christian History Institute called "The Torchlighters: Heroes of the Faith". Torchlighters is a curriculum based on Christian missionaries and martyrs and provides information about countries around the world where persecution exists. In addition, church families are being asked to come and share their experiences and teach us about their home countries.
Crossroads Kids Club is using Torchlighters to help educate children on the cultures of countries from various parts of the world. The stories about the missionaries and martyrs also provide an opportunity to teach the children how to stand firm in their faith in the face of opposition. Club children will not only learn about Christians from the past but will learn about and pray for present day Christians facing persecution around the world.
We use games, crafts, DVD's and other activities to help make the lessons fun for the children.
